What is Company Scheduler?
The main focus is to know
- Availability and location of coworkers
- Availability and occupiers of each meeting room
Some notable differences from traditional scheduling software:
- See other coworker's schedule as well as your own.
- Calendar shows up to three months, so if today is Jan 31st can see Feb 1st without navigating.
- Compact Calendar design, tasks text are not rendered within the calendar, so no eyesore.
- Full time zone support because not everyone lives in the same place.
- Files can be attached to tasks, so no one can complain they didn't receive the meeting documents.
- It's a web application. Nothing to install.
- Setup is quick and painless. Just set your company's name and current time zone. That's it.
Target Audience
Most likely to use
- Works in a team environment as a team member instead of as a lone wolf
- Company or project hierarchy is not flat. People have bosses or work together on projects
- Has lots of meeting rooms, maybe at more than one location, maybe in more than one time zone
- Needs to track location of sales team or outsourced staff
- Has subordinate or secretary that checks availability and schedules meetings for others. In recruiting companies, Analyst performs this role
Reasons not to use
- Addicted to Outlook
- Must be able to see schedule on mobile phone or crackberry
- Lone wolf. Has no boss, subordinates, or team members. Some recruiting companies have this structure
